Well-Schooled in Giving

Kathleen F. Cellura

Kathleen F. Cellura '59

Kathleen F. Cellura '59, who taught for 35 years before retiring, says friends tell her she "remains a teacher to this day."

And though she stopped teaching, she didn't stop caring about students. And she has a special spot in her heart for those who are following in her footsteps.

"Philanthropy is my passion," Kathi says. "I have worked and invested all my life with the sole purpose of giving forward."

Kathi's latest endeavor is a novel, Forever Footprints. All proceeds from her novel will be directed to presently supported and newly reviewed nonprofits.

A Gift for the Future

By naming UB as a beneficiary in her estate plans, Kathi has created an endowed fund to benefit students within the Graduate School of Education who plan to become teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

For more information on how you can support UB through your estate plans, please contact Wendy Irving, Esq. at (877) 825-3422 or dev-pg@buffalo.edu.
