Michael Groden

Few authors have a more global influence than James Joyce, and few scholars are more relevant to the study of the famed Irish author than Michael Groden.

The access Michael had to UB’s James Joyce Collection—the largest in the world—is what inspired him to use his estate plan to support UB’s plans for a new museum on the South Campus.

“[We] both decided to help the institution that probably meant more to me in terms of my scholarship than any other place there is,” Michael says.
